Massey Ferguson 1386
When gopher mounds, thick grass and tangled vegetation call for aggressive action, it’s time to look at a 1300 Series Hesston by Massey Ferguson, disc mower conditioner. Thanks to a low-profile rotary disc cutterbar, 1300 Series models glide through rank hay crops and weeds just as easily as they do through lush alfalfa. The RazorBar cutterbar is a modular spur gear design. The spur gear design allows the cutterbar profile to be thinner, allowing closer cutting with less scalping, increasing cutoff and stubble cut quality. Extra large cutting disc at 24.5? cutting diameter allows for increased disc overlap and better cut off between discs. Steel on steel conditioner rolls on the 1380 series, mean the crop is crimped every 2-3 inches. This crimping action on both systems breaks the stem open to release moisture and reduce drying time while preserving leaf quality for high quality hay. The herringbone tread pattern feeds the crop evenly on both sides to the center for even windrow formation. The rubber on steel rolls feature engaging rolls with a rubber top roll, and a steel bottom roller. Both conditioner roll configurations are machined and balanced so a precise roll gap can be set and maintained for good windrow consistency.
